Historical Acceptance Rates

Loyola Marymount University's overall acceptance rate has drastically decreased from 40.3% in the application year 2023, with 9,413 out of 23,361 applicants being accepted, to just 6.0% for the application year 2024, translating to 1,440 accepted students from 24,000 applicants. This sharp decline indicates a significant increase in selectivity over the past year. The only historical data available shows a much higher acceptance rate of 54.0% in 2016, marking a notable downward trend in acceptance rates over the years.
