The University of North Carolina at Wilmington has an acceptance rate of 36.2% for its wait list in the application year 2024, with 2,438 of the 6,722 wait-listed applicants being accepted. This represents a significant increase compared to the previous years, where acceptance rates were markedly lower: just 4.4% for the Class of 2028 (297 accepted out of 6,758 offered) and a mere 1.4% for the Class of 2027 (90 accepted from 6,541 offered). Historical data from the Class of 2026 shows a 5.9% acceptance rate as well, with 457 accepted from 7,771 offered, highlighting an upward trend in wait list acceptances for 2024. This surge indicates a more favorable position for wait-listed applicants this year.
