Wake Forest University's overall acceptance rate has seen a decline from 34.41% in 2015 to 21.56% in 2024, with the number of applicants increasing significantly from 11,119 to 17,479 during this period. Between 2021 and 2024, the rate dropped from 31.98% to 21.56%, indicating a tightening of admission standards. In the last two years alone, the acceptance rate has hovered just above 21%, with 3,768 students accepted from 17,479 applicants in 2024 and 3,602 from 16,857 in 2023. Overall, the trend reflects an increasingly competitive admissions landscape at Wake Forest.
