The student's TOK Exhibition is based on one of the 35 “IA Prompts” provided in the TOK Guide for the examination year, specifically the prompt “How can we know that current knowledge is an improvement upon past knowledge?". The student presents 3 objects, each accompanied by a written commentary within the word limit of 950 words. The objects are clearly identified, pre-existing, and specific rather than generic. Additionally, the links between each object and the selected IA prompt are well-explained, and supported by appropriate evidence and explicit references. However, there is a need for a brief identification of the specific real-life context for the second object, an unnecessary introduction should be removed from the commentaries, and an explicit mention of justification of the object's particular contribution to the Exhibition should be provided in the commentaries in order to get higher marks.
