In the application year 2024, Brown University recorded an overall acceptance rate of 5.53%, with 47,504 applicants and 2,626 students admitted. Early Action (EA) acceptance was significantly higher at 17.95%, with 5,048 applicants and 906 accepted, compared to the Regular Decision (RD) rate of only 4.05%, which corresponds to 42,456 applicants and 1,720 admitted students. Trends over the past years reveal a slight decline in overall acceptance rates, from 6.22% in 2019 to the current 5.53%, suggesting increasing competitiveness in the admissions process. Early Action rates have also decreased from 22.06% in 2020 to the current 17.95%, indicating a more competitive early applicant pool.
