
Saginaw Valley State University has seen a decline in its overall acceptance rate in recent years. In 2023, the acceptance rate was 72.9% with 10,220 applicants, down from 76.3% in 2022 when there were 9,330 applicants. The acceptance rates have gradually decreased from a high of 89.4% in 2020, showing a trend towards increased selectivity, as the rate fell to 77.8% in 2021 and 73.1% in 2019. This shift indicates a tightening application environment at the university over the past few years.
