Historical Acceptance Rates

For the application year 2024, Johns Hopkins University reported an overall acceptance rate of 7.6%, with 38,926 applicants and 2,943 admitted. The Early Action (EA) acceptance rate was 13.6% from 6,266 applicants, while the Regular Decision (RD) acceptance rate stood at 6.4%, admitting 2,090 out of 32,660 applicants. Comparing to previous years, the acceptance rate marginally increased from 7.3% in 2023 and 7.5% in 2022, while it was higher at 8.8% in 2021, indicating a slight tightening in overall admissions criteria.
