The University of Miami has seen a significant decline in its wait list acceptance rate, which is currently at 2.77% for the application year 2024, with 215 of the 7,758 waitlisted applicants admitted. This contrasts sharply with the previous year (2023), where there was an acceptance rate of 17.1%, allowing 366 applicants from a total of 2,143 waitlisted students. Even further back, in 2022, the acceptance rate was only 0.7%, with just 30 admissions from 4,041 offered spots. This decline from a previous high of 21.3% in 2024 reflects a notable drop in opportunities for applicants on the wait list over recent years.
