
Montana State University is test optional, meaning applicants can choose whether or not to submit standardized test scores as part of their application. The university allows self-reporting of scores, which permits students to provide their test results without the need for official score reports at the time of application. Currently, 27% of applicants submit SAT scores and 43% submit ACT scores, which totals 70%. This indicates that some students may submit both scores.
